Heart of Minnesota Animal Center – Ozzy

Ruff Start Dog & Cat Rescue – Luigi
I’m a Luigi looking for my Mario, is it you? I’m a two-year-old male Chihuahua mix and “goofball” is my middle name. While I take pride in being the silliest, I’m also very intelligent and sweet. I am eager to please my humans and have tons of energy reserved just for playing. Beware that I might make you giggle – in fact, it’s my mission! I get along great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, but I may get a little bossy around toys. I think they should all be mine because I need to show them how to fetch (I’m way better at it than they are, anyway). After toys, my next favorite thing is car rides. I love adventuring! I’m also leash and crate trained and I’m working hard on potty training.

Hawk Creek Animal Shelter – Sophie
I am a 9-month-old Cattle Dog/Bulldog mix that is ready to rock and roll. Sophie is my name, and I am rock solid with everything. Cats and dogs are my friends. I haven’t found a dog I don’t like. Kids are fun to play with too. My only issue is I jump up a lot and give some nose-boops that can be a bit hard. I walk nice on a leash and come when my name is called. Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARS) – Jersey
Jersey is a young and exuberant pup. She is sweet and cuddly but is also still learning good manners. She needs a little encouragement when outside to do her business but is catching on quickly. She is doing ok with the dog in her foster home although still being a puppy she gets pretty excited and needs someone to remind her that not everyone wants to play all the time she would do best in a home with no cats as she feels that they require chasing. With little kids she wants to jump up and lick them but can easily knock them over or catch them off guard which for samll kids can be a little scary.
She is eager to please, so she learns fast. She does ok on the leash. It seems to be foreign to her so we are working on leash manners she doesn’t really pull but more so needs work walking on her own feet in a straight line. She is VERY sweet, she loves snuggles and to literally be on top of you snuggling and licking you. She is crate training- she barks when she is in there alone-she seems to be getting better at this but she sleeps all night in her kennel right by the bed with no barking. Click here! to apply today!
Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART) – Cordella
Cordelia is an incredible sweet, sassy, friendly cat. She does well with children, and although her foster family has not seen her interact with other cats, they think she would be fine with other pets too.
She would do best with people who are home relatively often during the day because she is very social. She loves to sit on your lap, but she is often happy in her own bed too. She loves chasing the laser. She is good at using the litter box. Cordelia is definitely a beautiful and special lady!

Bear is closing in on one of those records you don’t want to break. How many days will it take to get Bear adopted? He’s going on 90 days right now – in fact, there was still snow on the ground when he came in! Bear is an 8-year-old neutered cat who had some litter box concerns; he was found to have urinary crystals, which are easily treated with a prescription urinary diet. Bear is super sweet and some of his favorite things are his food, snuggles, and good conversation. Underdog Pet Rescue of MN – Sophie
Hi, my name is Sophie. I’m a young adult and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m a Miniature Schnauzer, about 11 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you, my foster Mom says I am a pint-size protector! I recently have accomplished great things, stairs are amazing! I can do it! And that leash walking thing, I have great potential with more practice. For now, I do require a fenced yard.
I have learned that beds are AMAZING, and you can find me sharing one with my foster sister. I also enjoy chewing on my dog rope and my nylabone. My potty training is going really well, I do well when I am on a schedule. My foster mom says she is surprised at how well I ride in a car. I do not like my travel kennel, so my foster mom keeps me on the floor of the car and ties my leash securely. Then I can I just lounge while foster mom chauffeurs me around! I have earned my foster family’s trust so I am not kenneled during the day; just at night. My kennel is kept in my foster parents bedroom because I need to be close to them.

Pet Haven of Minnesota – Iggy
Iggy is a very sweet cat who’s come a long way since living on the streets. He’s big, muscular, and loves to play anytime or anywhere. His ideal home has plenty of wet food, another playful FIV+ cat or possibly a friendly dog, and a human who can keep him company. He’s made a lot of progress toward being a sweet, gentle house cat, and he’d be happy to tell you all about it (he loves to chat and chirp at his humans).
When he arrived at his foster home, he was immediately ready to explore his new room! With confidence and trills, he smelled all the new smells and toys. He knew exactly where to do his business, where to scratch his claws, and where the cafeteria was – which is his favorite place of all time. He likes to go by his food bowl and sing the song of his people until we serve him the daily special… which is pretty much always the same wet food. But he LOVES it! He even makes little snorty noises after he eats while he’s licking his chops clean.
Iggy’s second love after food is toys! He will play anytime or anywhere that you are willing to play with him. His favorite toys are wand toys and tunnels. He loves to jump over and run through tunnels to catch the strings. He’s very energetic and athletic for being such a big boy! He definitely could’ve been a linebacker in the Kitten Bowl. Since he was an outdoor cat, Iggy is still learning how to communicate and trust humans. When he first came to his forever home, he would swat at humans when they pet him. But now he knows that soft pets are very pleasant, and he will come up to you and meow for pets. He gets sweeter every day!
